About the Role
The Head of Validation Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for standing up scaling and running Mooves validation mission across all active and expansion markets. This person owns the full lifecycle of autonomous vehicle validation from initial mapping missions through advanced testing and specialized trial operations and is accountable for market launch timelines P&L performance and operational quality throughout.
You will lead a multi-function team that includes in-market operations supervisors validation trainers on-road management and driver setup staff coordinating closely with centralized support functions. The ideal candidate is a proven operator with general management instincts deep experience in fleet or field operations and the ability to build and run a high-performing team in a fast-moving commercially pressured environment.
What Youll Be Doing
Own market launch and P&L. Drive validation programs from initial mobilization through commercial operations handoff hitting timeline and cost targets.
Lead the validation org. Directly manage in-market operations supervisors validation trainers on-road management and driver setup teams across all active markets.
Manage mission execution across all phases. Ensure mapping standard testing and advanced trial operations are staffed scheduled and executed to partner standards and Mooves commercial model.
Drive vehicle utilization and fleet readiness. Maximize the percentage of vehicles running active missions at any given time.
Oversee safety and incident response. Maintain strong driver safety monitoring and rapid response to on-road incidents.
Maintain quality assurance. Keep train-the-trainer cycle times and quality benchmarks high across all markets.
Coordinate with centralized support. Ensure real-time incident triage and remote support functions are properly integrated into market operations.
Manage the partner relationship. Serve as the senior operational point of contact for technology partners maintaining trust transparency and responsiveness.
Report upward. Deliver regular operational and financial reporting to senior leadership covering performance metrics blockers and market readiness.
Scale the model. Build playbooks and repeatable systems that can be deployed efficiently in new markets as Moove expands.
What Youll Need
8 years of direct experience in fleet management field operations or technical operations with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or general management role.
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree a plus.
Demonstrated experience launching or scaling operations in a new market or geography.
Strong P&L ownership experience. Comfortable with budgets cost management and operating within a performance-based commercial model.
Familiarity with autonomous vehicle or advanced technology fleet operations or the ability to learn them quickly.
Proven ability to lead multi-function teams across geographies including remote and in-market staff.
Strong analytical and data skills. Comfortable building and presenting operational reports for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs Sheets Slides and Drive) for document creation file management and team collaboration.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience operating in partnership-heavy environments with high accountability.
Continuous improvement mindset. Experience applying structured process improvement frameworks is a strong plus.
Availability and willingness to operate across non-standard hours as needed by market operations.
Valid drivers license. Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
