TREASURY LEAD

JOB TITLE: SSC Treasury Lead

REPORTS TO: Shared Services Centre Manager / Group Treasury Manager

FUNCTION: Shared Services

LOCATION: Accra

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

To provide leadership to the Treasury team monitor operations implement treasury solutions and achieve the KPIs set for volumetric and Service quality to management. Provide treasury and transactional services with the organisation service oriented to the 3 BUs.

Mission:

Control and supervision of SSC Department devoted to Treasury. Ensure service quality SLA compliance and foster continuous improvement in the Treasury operations. Get involved in key validations in Treasury routines and resolve material issues. Report to SSC Manager/Group Treasurer consult and escalate critical matters with him. Lead Treasury Department organize tasks and distribute workload within the work team and support SSC Manager in goals setting KPI monitoring and preemptive/corrective actions. Support and coordinate with Local BU and Corporate for Working Capital Analysis and Treasury budgeting and forecasting. Ensure Payment proposal and massive payments control and supervision. Control bank communications & reconciliations.

Functions

• Support SSC Manager to implement and enforce treasury policies and payment guidelines.
• Interaction and coordination with other areas of the Shared Service particularly Record to Report and Procure to Pay team
• Manage operating discrepancies with banks and escalate when appropriate
• Request Renew Book and manage Bank facilities for all entities according to approved treasury plan
• Ensure maintenance of exchange rates in accounting system of all entities
• Kyriba implementation and other key solutions for treasury
• Analyze Treasury issues and risks involved in business processes
• Cash Pooling management and ensure enough liquidity to comply with operating and financial liabilities
• Supervision of short-medium-long term Treasury forecasts elaboration and coordination with Local and BU for further information
• Monitoring of overall operating activities undertaken by the Treasury team (statement upload cash position day-to-day relations with banks etc.)
• Coordinate with BU Procurement Unit and SSC Master Data Management team to ensure supplier Master data is up to date.
• Coordinate supplier attention (queries re-routed from Local Purchasing): remittance advice reconciliation issues invoice status Treasury/payment related queries
• Analyze processes recommend improvements and manage all internal controls on documents
• Follow-up on supplier advance payments debit balances overpayments and other recoveries
• Subject Matter Expert on Payment Kyriba Process and Cash forecasting
• Provide treasury and transactional services to the 3 BU’s
• Manage the local Treasury Team and interaction and support to the 3 BU’s Corporate.

Education

• Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration. MBA or a professional qualification in Accounting from a recognized professional Accounting body is an added advantage.

Required Experience

• 10 or more years’ experience in similar position (manage treasury cash flow reporting bank negotiations etc in the private sector)
• Ability to work to deadlines and to manage workload;
• Ability to manage teams and people.
• Medium level in French language desired.
• Communication: ability to interact and influence teams internal clients other areas of the Organization and
• Knowledge in Treasury Purchase to Pay and reporting processes
• Working knowledge with the ERP system if possible SAP.
