This position is responsible for the proper installation operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems. Responsibilities include inspecting testing and performing system checks in accordance to fire code;identifying code and system deficienciesand preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Install low voltage components in accordance with building codes and regulations as required by customers or the Company.
Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement.
Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs.
Make connections and required adjustments as directed test operation of all components of each system.
Report on activities completed deferred or requiring further action or material to management.
Ability to work independently on customer sites
Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification:
Possesses a Massachusetts Systems Technician License or has the required hours and education to be able to acquire one within a six month to one-year period.
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct Confidentiality Agreement and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand walk use hands to feel reach with hands or arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects.
The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing climbing grasping hearing mental acuity pulling pushing repetitive motion speaking talking and visual acuity.
Pay Rate:
$35 to $45 based on experience and license status
