Also responsible for facilitating training scheduling and evaluating manufacturing and assembly operators cell leaders and assigned staff. Monitor all machines and automation to ensure continuous and efficient operation and report and follow up on all issues effecting production levels and part quality. Monitor staff to ensure adherence to ISO quality and clean room procedures. This position is responsible for effective execution of the job responsibilities noted below as well as the effective execution of the job responsibilities for the following positions (operators process tech I & process tech II material handler).RESPONSIBILITIESUnder the direction of the Production Manager the Production manager has the responsibility authority and is accountable to:Under the direction of the Manager the Shift Supervisor has the responsibility authority and is accountable to:Make decisions regarding job assignments work priorities and overtime change-overs processing and monitoring of Staffing on the Shop Floor (Press utilization)Trouble shoot/Problem Solve daily production issues to hit targetsEnsure all associates follow all SOP WI and MI requirements based on job dutiesConduct Weekly Payroll ActivitiesManage Conflicts on within the production teamConduct daily transition/changeover/shift meetingsEnsure Safe Environment for floor staffedEnsure/Manage complaint to GMP/GDP standards across shiftProvide support staff (Material handlers Technicians Warehouse etc.) with directions to support floor productionPromote and Drive Viant Values and CultureConduct 30/60/90 Reviews on all new employeesResponsible for the resolution of shift staffing issues. Ensures that production schedule requirements are for performance coaching and/or counseling of individuals for unacceptable performance relating to safety quality productivity and/or inappropriate behaviors to include disciplinary action if required to resolve performance the shift maintains quality standards and expectations are being product quality production efficiencies and overall productivity meets or exceeds established leadership and direction to associates to continuously improve quality reduce waste and increase outlined in the Operator job understanding of support staffs processes and projects and tasks as 2-5 yrs. of ExperienceUnderstanding of problem tools and techniquesKnowledge of safety standards for OSHA and productionProficiency in Conflict Resolution and People developmentKnowledge of ERP systemsHigh communication skillsSkills in Microsoft Word Excel and OutlookExperience working in GDP/GMP environmentsBasic knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma ToolsUnderstanding of company metrics and how to driveEDUCATION GUIDELINESManagement or technical degree is desirable. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree for a candidate who can demonstrate the combination of experience training and education to be capable of successfully fulfilling all duties and responsibilities of the position. At a minimum High School Diploma or GED/Equivalence in certifications.
