Job Summary
Senior Scientist (Tank Management)
KeenLogicis seeking a Senior Scientist (Tank Management) to support our team with one of our government clients. This position supports Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) in delivering Facility Environmental Compliance Planning and Resiliency Technical Support across Department of Defense (DoD) facilities.
The role supports compliance with environmental regulations related to petroleum oil and lubricants (POL) including aboveground and underground storage tanks. Responsibilities include supporting fueling operations spill prevention planning pollution control regulatory coordination and compliance auditing.

Required Qualifications
Active Secret security clearance
Bachelors degree in science or engineering ORMasters degree in scienceor engineering
10 years of experience with a bachelors OR 8 years with a masters
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with POL regulations and tank management requirements
Support spill prevention and contingency planning
Coordinate with regulators and operations staff
Prepare reports databases and regulatory documentation
Conduct internal compliance audits and assessments
Required Work Experience
Aboveground and underground storage tank compliance
Fueling and fuel transfer operations
Development of spill plans tank management plans and conducting contingency planning
Meeting with regulators and operations
Preparing reports tracking data and all associated regulatory documentation
Performing internal compliance assessments and auditing
Preferred Experience
Fuel storage tank design reviews
Oversight of tank removals and installations
