Position Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic summer student to help our Walk-In Counselling Team. The youth will support the full update restructuring and modernization of the WICC (The Walk-In Counselling Clinic) Working Manual. They will also collect operational information by interviewing staff meeting with partner agencies reviewing existing program procedures and traveling to community locations as needed.
This position is for the Canada Summer Jobs program.
Program eligibility
Only candidates who meet these paraments will be considered:
- must be between the ages of 15 and 30
- Be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or a person with refugee protection under theImmigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Hold a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Be able to work the entirety of the program with no interruptions
- Available to fully participate in the program from start to finish with no scheduling conflicts
Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties of the role include:
- Documenting workflows drafting and editing manual sections
- Revising outdated content and ensuring consistency and clarity across all WICC procedures.
- Organizing source materials manage version control develop visual aids (e.g. charts diagrams workflows)
- Prepare the updated manual for internal review and approval.
Qualifications/Experience
- Fluency in English
- University/college students (second year and up)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate patient and respectful attitude towards the seniors.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
