Location: Uinta County School District #1

Special Services Department ï½ District Wide

Salary: $53400 to $100650 - Placement on salary schedule commensurate with experience and training

8 hours per day 185 Day Contract

Description: Uinta County School District #1is now accepting applications for a full-time (full salary/benefits) School Psychologist at various locations (Elementary and Secondary).. Essential Functions:

• Conduct classroom observation and functional based assessments of students with challenging or atypical behaviors in classrooms.
• Consultation and collaboration with teaching staff special education staff and parents to develop appropriate behavior management strategies or behavior intervention plans.
• Provide training for teaching staff and parents on topics such as; effective strategies and interventions on a variety of social-emotional development early childhood psychological and developmental disorders progress monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Conduct evaluations in conjunction with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including administration scoring analyzing and providing information and results to the team including the parents in IEP and other various settings.
• Conduct risk assessments and collaborate effectively with outside agencies to benefit student mental health.
• Write assessment reports including recommendations.
• Strong skills in problem solving people interaction conflict resolution team building and communication skills.
• Weekly professional development/School Psychologist collaboration opportunities.
• Assist with the implementation of MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports) & PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) programs.
• Assist with the schools 504 Accommodations team.
• Provide direct intervention services to students (individually and/or group).
• Act as a liaison with community professionals.
• Plan and lead continued professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Applicant must meet the following:

Current Wyoming School Psychologist/Intern School Psychologist license or ability to submit application and all necessary documentation for license within 30 days of hiring.
