About the role:

We are inviting applications fromsuitably qualifiedRegistered Nurses wishing to obtain permanent employment within the facility in the role of After Hours Nurse Manager. This position will require successful candidates to ensure provision of high quality patient care through efficient and effective management of staffing resource and bed management. The role requires provision of effective leadership strategies and coordination of patient flow whilst upholding the mission of St Vincents Health Australia in an after-hours capacity

St Vincents Private Hospital Toowoomba is the largest acute private hospital on the Darling Downs. We are a 197-bed facility with highly experienced and skilled staff that work as a team to deliver the highest standard of healthcare to all our patients. Our services include medical surgical maternity paediatric emergency cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health services and advanced medical and diagnostic services. Pathology radiology and pharmacy are also available on site.

Things that work for us:

  • Registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Nurse

  • Applicants with a minimum of five (5) years experience is desirable

  • Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with stakeholders

  • Ability to motivate provide leadership and coordination to members of the team

  • Problem solving analytical and conflict resolution skill and demonstrated ability to lead and implement change in a complex environment

  • Ability to ensure clinical practice is consistent with the standards of ACHS Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and ANMC guidelines

  • Ability to effectively coordinate the functioning of the service and provide clinical leadership across the continuum of care

  • Ability to effectively manage clinical and non-clinical risk infection control and emergency situations in the after-hours environment
