Simplified ChineseLanguage Specialist
Thermo Fisher Scientific Language Services is looking for aSimplified ChineseLanguage Specialist with experience in clinical translation and quality assurance to join the internal team. Essential functions would include:
Coordinating and managing the final quality of assigned translations to ensure ahigh qualitystandard.
Running language assetse.g.translation memoriesterminologyand style guides:
Performing occasional linguistic tasks includinginitialtranslation revision client feedback implementation
Performing quality checks on clinical translations (ICFs protocols IBs patient diaries etc.).
Developing andmaintainingterminology and style guides for the language
EnsuringSimplified Chinese translation memories are updated.
Setting and executing linguistic quality assuranceprocessfor the assigned language globally as.
Using CAT technology tomonitorquality of outsourced language translations and external suppliers.
Analyzing language quality issues and working on any quality improvement plans withprojectmanagement team.
Applicants should meet one of the below educational/professional requirements:
Bachelors degree in translationslinguisticsor language studies with significant translation studies from a recognized higher educationinstitution.
Preferred KnowledgeSkillsand Abilities:
Native Language:Simplified Chinese
CAT/TMS Tool Experience Required
Proven Terminology and TM experience
Proven skills of multi-tasking time management organization and attention to detail
Excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiencyin MS Office suite
