CNC Machinist

Job description:
We are looking for someone to join our Advanced Engineering Team as a Machinist!

Our 1st shift hours at 7am-3pm but we can be flexible.

PURPOSE:
The Machinists primary role is to setup CNC and manual machines to produce quality parts and assemblies and to maintain and organize the machine area. The machinist needs to be able to edit programs and adjust setups as needed to increase efficiency and improve quality. They must be able maintain and organize prints programs setup and layout information. The cleanliness and organization of tools equipment work area and inventory also fall under their responsibility.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide machined components in a timely and cost effective way.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with programming CNC equipment using WorkNC or comparable product
• Understanding of G&M codes used in CNC programs
• Setup and operate mills grinders saws lathes and hand tools
• Ability to process machining operations
• Ability to read micrometers height gages indicators and understand part and assembly prints
• Ability to work independently with little direction and highly motivated
• Desire a basic understanding of: Tooling Materials Injection Molding Strong mechanical background with ability to operate drill press mill and other machining tools to assist with building machine components
• Hi-Lo License preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The role is carried out on the production floor. The production floor is an industrial manufacturing environment that is at times noisy and fast paced with constant movement of heavy equipment. The indoor climate is seasonably warm during summer months comfortably cool during winter months. Personal protective equipment (PPE) are required for all production floor positions.
