Mechanical Engineer North London
Location: North London (Colindale)
Pay: 20.70 per hour PAYE
Hours: Full-time (approx. 40 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: 27 April 2026
End Date: 6 July 2026
A strong opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to support maintenance operations within a critical environment in North London. This role suits someone experienced in mechanical building services and comfortable working to high compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
Respond to reactive maintenance issues and breakdowns
Maintain and repair HVAC plant equipment and associated systems
Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations
Accurately record maintenance activities and report findings
Support wider site maintenance operations where required
Requirements:
Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Experience in a commercial or critical environment (e.g. healthcare labs or similar)
Strong understanding of HVAC and building services systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and professional approach
Right to Work in the UK
Desirable:
Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments
Additional multi-skilled maintenance experience
