Assisting Hands Home Care Merrillville is hiring a Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Merrillville IN and nearby communities.

Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing dressing grooming toileting mobility and transfers
Provide companionship and emotional support
Help with light housekeeping laundry and meal preparation
Assist with walking wheelchair and mobility support
Provide medication reminders (no administration)
Monitor and report changes in client condition
Complete care notes using a mobile app
Follow care plans and safety guidelines

Caregiver Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience preferred (home care CNA HHA PCA assisted living or nursing home)
CNA or HHA certification is a plus
Valid drivers license reliable transportation and auto insurance
Ability to pass national background check
CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
Must be reliable professional and compassionate
Comfortable using a smartphone
