Job Summary

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR). This role will bridge business and technology teams ensuring clear requirements high-quality delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
.Engage with stakeholders to elicit validate and document business requirements.
.Translate business needs into clear actionable functional specifications (BRD/FRD).
.Define scope and ensure alignment between business objectives and delivery.
.Develop a deep understanding of CCR concepts workflows and systems.
.Evaluate requirements critically to identify gaps inconsistencies and improvement opportunities.
.Participate in backlog prioritization refinement and sprint planning.
.Ensure continuous BA involvement across the full sprint lifecycle (refinement development testing retrospectives).
.Design comprehensive test strategies covering functional regression and integration testing.
.Create and manage test cases ensuring high coverage and minimal defect leakage.
.Support end-to-end test execution and validation.
.Identify upstream and downstream dependencies across systems and teams.
.Proactively flag risks and potential impacts prior to implementation.
.Documentation
.Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRD) Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) Process flows and system documentation Test plans and reports
.Support production issue triage and root cause analysis using business knowledge.
.Act as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
.Ensure smooth deployment handover and post-production support.
.Attention to detail and structured thinking with ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.Strong experience in business analysis within financial services or risk management
.Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
.Excellent analytical problem-solving and documentation skills
.Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear specifications

Preferred Qualifications
.CFA FRM or CCR-related certifications
.Experience in Counterparty Credit Risk domain
.Exposure to financial systems and data workflows


*CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95000$145000. This role is an existing vacancy.
