As the Maintenance Mechanic you will repair install and maintain your assigned mechanical systems equipment in good condition.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Keeps supervision informed of problems conditions and status of assigned work.
- Makes emergency repairs to building systems while on single coverage shifts.
- Supports work with documentation.
- Assists maintenance mechanics and skilled tradesman with troubleshooting repair construction and installation of building systems equipment and fixtures.
- Regularly performs and assists with the preventive maintenance of equipment checking oil levels belts temperature and fluid levels air pressures cleaning equipment changing filters etc.
- Makes a variety of repairs to equipment and facilities as required such as beds replacing light bulbs painting grounds clearing drains and other general maintenance.
- May be assigned to move furniture and equipment.
- Investigates/identifies and repairs minor malfunction of equipment and utilities. Orders parts to complete assigned work orders.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school graduate
- Skills and abilities in the areas of electrical plumbing HVAC painting carpentry and general maintenance.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years general maintenance experience with proven competency in the areas of electrical plumbing HVAC painting and carpentry.
- Boiler operator license
- Must obtain a High-Pressure Boiler Operator License within 2 ½ years of the hire date if assigned to the boiler house
