What youll be doing

As anIncome TaxStrategist you are responsible forsupporting and working closely withBusiness Development OfficersRelationship Managersmembers of theWealth Strategiesteamand clients to develop and implementincome taxplanning as part ofCIBCPrivate Wealths integrated wealth management addition you will help clientsand prospectsunderstand theirtaxcompliance andplanning.

How youll succeed

• Income Tax Planning: Liaise withBusiness Development OfficersRelationship Managers Wealth Strategies team membersand clients in a consultative role developing holistic income taxplansto enhance the overall client experience withCIBCPrivate Wealth.

• Research & Review:Research and review incometax issues. Assistwith the review ofincome taxplanningproposalsandincome tax compliance. Prepare written and graphical summaries.

• Business Development Support: Support the business development effort byparticipatingin prospect meetingsand discussingpossible taxplanning for prospects.

• Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of educational and marketing materials.

• External & Internal Engagement: Participate in educational seminars internally. Present to client and intermediary groups externally. Promote the wealth strategies offering across the firm.

Who you are

• Education: You have a Bachelors degree.

• You have taxplanning experience. You are a tax professionalwithat least10-15 years ofincome taxplanning experience with expertisein income tax planning and accounting. Experience in estate planning insurance planning business successionplanningand philanthropic planningpreferred.

• You have a network. You have experiencewithhigh-net-worthclientsandbroad connections in theincome tax planningcommunity.

• You are a strong communicator. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex information to internal and external clients in a clear focused and concise manner.

• You possess strong analytical skills. You have demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.

At CIBC we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of$200000 - $250000for the market based on experience qualifications and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible toparticipatein the relevant business units incentive compensation plan which may also include a discretionary bonuscomponent.
