The Opportunity

Join Adobes Commerce Platform Services team as a Software Development Engineer in Austin and play a pivotal role in crafting the future of e-commerce. Youll build develop and maintain core services and infrastructure ensuring Adobe Commerce remains at the forefront of the industry. What youll Do

• Build implement and maintain backend services APIs and automation tools for Adobe Commerce.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines deployment automation and infrastructure as code (e.g. Jenkins Docker Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with architects leads and engineers to deliver new features and resolve complex technical challenges.
• Participate in code reviews build discussions and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Ensure code quality security and performance through testing monitoring and established guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across multiple modules and services.
• Record technical solutions processes and add to internal knowledge bases.
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies relevant to cloud services DevOps and e-commerce.

What you need to succeed

• Degree in Computer Science or 3 years of experience considered equivalent to a degree
• Proven expertise in backend development and infrastructure management
• Proficiency in programming languages - PHP Python Go
• Experience in TypeScript/HTML/CSS and modern web technologies.
• AI- first mindset and experience with LLM technology
• Understanding of RESTful API design microservices architecture and secure coding practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud services (AWS Azure or GCP) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills and a dedication to knowledge sharing

Expected Pay Range:

At Adobe for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC base commission) and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
