Job Summary

Summary:As a Field ServiceTechnicianPRV I you will adhere toValvKeepand Quality Standardization Procedures throughout the valve repair process. You will become proficient inidentifyingcontaminated valves using Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and recognizing missing parts. You will learn to repair valves according to company standards and utilize BH Green Tag Channel Connect. Additionally you will gain introductory knowledge of various shop equipment including test stands andmachiningtools and be prepared :Follow ValvKeep and Quality Standardization Procedures for all aspects of the valve repair processFamiliar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and able to recognize a contaminated valveRecognition of missing partsLearn valve repair according to company standardsAble to use BH Green Tag Channel ConnectIntroductory learning of various shop equipment (test stand machining equipment etc.)Ready for manufacturer trainingPositional Requirements & Qualifications:Education & ExperienceHS Education or GED Equivalent1 year of industry experienceSkills & AbilitiesSafety and quality-mindedRecognize pressure relief valve componentsBasic computer knowledgeOrganized and detail-orientedDemonstrate effective time management skillsMeets all Technician Helper qualifications and requirements outlined in Technician Helper job descriptionSuccessful completion of Consolidated Valve University Levels 401-403Successful completion of all applicable Quality Standardization ProceduresCompleted Green Tag Certification Level ISuccessful completion of Pressure Relief Valve Level I Written and Performance TestsSome prior safety/pressure relief valve experienceDemonstrated proficiency of disassembly lapping testing applicable codes and standardsDemonstrated mechanical skills basic mathematical skills and ability to use measurement equipmentBasic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC only if required)Basic oral & written communication skillsAbility to communicate professionally with customers as a representative of the companyDemonstrated understanding of the field job processDemonstrated can do attitude and excellent customer service skillsSupervision:Close Supervision RequiredMust be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to Setpoint IS driving guidelinesClear background check and drug/alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions:Lifting: up to 50 poundsAdjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directionsLift and carry: 50 pounds for 100 feetBending stooping walking and climbing stairsAscending or descending ladders stairs scaffolding rampsMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spacesRemaining in a stationary position often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsMoving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to anotherCommunicating with others to exchange informationRepeating motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingersOperating machinery and/or power toolsOperating motor vehicles or heavy equipmentAssessing the accuracy neatness and thoroughness of the work assignedRequired physical ability if mandated by customer or regulatory requirementsAble to hold body weight while swinging on rope during static and dynamic transfer (offshore)
