PositionSummary
The Software Engineer in Test (SET)is responsible fordesigning developing andmaintainingautomated test frameworks and test cases to ensure the quality reliability and performance of software applications. This role partners closely with software engineers product managers and QA team members to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design develop andmaintainscalable reliable automated test frameworks and test suites
Write review and execute automated tests for web applications APIs and backend services
Collaborate with software engineers to ensure testability quality and adherence to best practices
Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input on test coverage and quality risks
Identify document and track defects partnering with development teams through resolution
Perform root cause analysis for defects and test failures
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing execution
Execute manual testing as needed to supplement automation efforts
Ensure test environments and test data are properly configured and maintained
Continuously evaluate and improve testing strategies tools and processes

This position performs its duties fromour Orange CA or New Braunfels TXoffice. The roleoperatesin a professional officeenvironment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones mobile devices andrelated technology.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job the employeeis regularly required tosit;frequentlyrequiredto talk and hear use hands and fingers to type scroll and use computer equipment. The employeeis required tohave close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data andfigures; viewing a computer and multiple screens; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is afull-timeexemptposition. Days and hours worked are dependent on business needs and workload. General availability during regular business hours Monday through Friday is on the candidateand /or position a hybrid work arrangement may be considered; howevera minimum of three (3) or more days per week in the office isrequiredto support executive collaboration leadership presence and cross-functional engagement. Some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may berequiredas job duties demand.
Travel
There isno major travel requirementfor this position. However infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s) attend conferences/industry events etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat isrequired. This event is a 2-3-day at our annual User Conference as assigned.
Salary Range
The salary range is$95k - $110kannually. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
3years of experience in software testing or development with a focus on test automation
Proficiencyin at least one programming or scripting language (Java C# Python or JavaScript) framework.
Experience with test automation frameworks such asPlaywright(preferred)SeleniumorCypress
Experience withdeveloping/maintainingautomated performance/load test suites
Strong understanding of the softwaredevelopmentlifecycleand QA methodologies
Experiencewith automation ofAPIs and backend services (RESTGraphQL)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing SaaS or cloud-based applications
Knowledge of performance load or security testing tools
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Familiarity with containers or cloud platforms such as Docker AWS or Azure
ISTQB or other QA-related certifications
