Role Description

We are growing our Urban Highways team in Scotland and are seeking a Design Engineer to assist in the delivery of Urban Highways and Active Travel Infrastructure. Our live projects and clients include the likes of Glasgow City Council City of Edinburgh Council along with private developersarchitects and you are an engineering professional who is keen to work on Active travel Urban Highways or Public Realm projects we can add to your experience with digital engineering tools and techniques and provide a diverse collaborative environment where your career can thrive.

Role Accountabilities:

Urban Highways / Active Travel / Sustainable Travel focussed engineering design
Mentoring graduate engineers technicians and apprentices to assist with the development of skills within the team;
Managing work undertaken through Global Excellence Centres in India
Assisting with business development through tenders proposals and client presentation (internal and external clients)

Qualifications and Experience:

Career driven the candidate would be a Engineer keen to progress to the next level

Experience in writing technical reports

Knowledge of digital solutions and technology
Progressing towards CEng / IEng status
Can demonstrate experience of urban highway design and design management
CAD skills in a BIM environment and 3D modelling will be an advantage
Experience of working for local authorities and/or developers and show an understanding of their objectives
Commercial awareness to assist with profitable delivery of projects;
