Will provide support to engineering teams in being responsible for product and process design changes and support continuous improvement initiatives. Through hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and other areas of the company the intern will have key experience in the different disciplines of engineering. The summer assignment duration is about 8-12 offer market competitive compensation. The salary for this role is $20.00/ Responsibilities:Determine the root cause of manufacturing defects and develop and implement corrective and analyze data on specific high volume product in order to determine possible improvements in manufacturing Engineers in the design and development of tooling processes and operator workload reduce non-value-added activities and eliminate and/or improve ergonomic cell layout changes and process changes to improve outputDevelop and maintain standard work for the process/cellPerform time motion and other Requirements:Working towards a Bachelors college degree required. Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Major preferred. Basic knowledge of visual and dimensional inspection equipment and techniques preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeBasic shop math skills requiredGood written and verbal communication skillsCapable of multi-tasking or assisting on multiple projects
