Job Summary
Job Title: Phlebotomist (000549)
Location: New York NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule
- 5x7.5-hour shifts (37.5 hrs/week)
- MondayFriday rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Holidays may be required
Available Shifts:
- 5:00 AM 1:00 PM (2 openings)
- 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (1 opening)
- 4:00 PM 12:00 AM (1 opening)
Job SummarySeeking an experienced Phlebotomist for a fast-paced acute care hospital. The role focuses on blood specimen collection patient safety and accurate documentation while following clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
- Label and process specimens accurately
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Follow infection control guidelines
- Maintain proper documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare staff
- Handle and transport specimens properly
Requirements (Must Have)
- 2 years of phlebotomy experience (hospital/lab/blood bank)
- CPT Certification
- AHA BLS Certification
- High School Diploma/GED Phlebotomy training
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Preferred
- Experience in high-volume hospital settings
- Knowledge of lab systems and specimen handling
- Flexibility with shifts and weekends
