Shipping & Receiving Clerk

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to efficiently manage the receiving sorting and distribution of incoming shipments as well as preparing and shipping outbound packages. The position ensures proper inventory stocking accurate order picking and the timely ordering of consumables. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations within the shipping and receiving process supporting overall business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist with sorting and processing incoming shipments ensuring accurate inspection and proper distribution of goods.
• Manage inventory by stocking products keeping items organized and ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Prepare and ship outbound packages ensuring that items are securely packed and shipping documents are complete.
• Accurately pick orders from inventory based on customer requirements ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
• Order consumables as needed to maintain adequate supplies for shipping and inventory management

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking bending and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting lifting carrying pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Experience: At least 1 year of related experience in shipping manufacturing or related field preferred.

Compensation Range: $23-$28 per hour
