OverviewAssists the Manager in coordinating and supervising the activities of the Patient Transportation Department. Responsible for the departments performance during weekend coverage. Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities as assigned. Supervise approximately 15 to 20 employees and perform annual evaluations as well as any counselings or coaching sessions.
Position Details:
Education: High school Diploma or lieu of education at least 2 years of lead or leadership experience may be considered.
Experience: Two years experience in an acute care setting.
Certifications: Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency procedures.
Other: The supervisor also displays good critical thinking skills decision making skills and organizational skills. The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below plus: Minimal: mid lift of <100# (rare) carrying <12 lbs push <44 lbs Pulling <42 lbs crouching hand coordination gripping pinching and data entry Occasional: pulling <30# Continuous: pushing up to 30 lbs balancing
Preferred Education: Associates degree or equivalent years of experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push pull and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties.
