Trainee Planner

Due to our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Planner to join our friendly team based in Preston.

Salary - 28000 Per Annum plus bonus

Type Permanent Full Time

Working Pattern Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

This is an office-based position where the ideal candidate will be given full training enabling them to expertly and efficiently quantify plan and provide flooring quotations using our in-house IT system.

We are looking for a reliable individual with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to completing all their work to the highest possible standard. The ideal candidate needs to be friendly hardworking and have a can-do approach to the range of tasks they are faced with.

A full and current UK driving licence

Excellent communication skills

Excellent organisation skills

Other key areas of responsibilities include:

• To gain knowledge to be able to plan efficiently from measurements or drawings
• To learn how to work on tenders for potential customers
• To develop knowledge of flooring products and services
• To learn to produce accurate block plans
• Minimise waste on all installations
• To provide an excellent service both internally and externally
• With assistance re-plan / re-price where necessary
• To learn how to ensure that best value is obtained in all areas making savings wherever possible
• To answer phone calls and participate in other office administration duties

Key Requirements:

• A conscientious approach with exceptional attention to detail
• Will be required to be DBS checked (within probationary period) and gain a current CSCS card
• Ability and willingness to learn new computer-based skills
• Must hold a full and current UK driving licence so that site visits can be carried out
