Removes trash/debris from city receptacles and from public areas. Ensures city right-of-ways meet cleanliness standards by following established routes either on foot or by vehicle. Performslandscapework in public right-of-ways which may include planting weeding maintaining flower beds and pruning of plant material and trees. Works withlandscapetools and on ladders. Work is assigned by the designated crew leader and is inspected for quality and productivity.

Typical Work Hours: 7:00AM to 4:00PM

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read write and follow instructions. Six (6) months experience in Grounds Maintenance or Landscaping preferred. A valid Florida Drivers License is required. Must meet physical and environmental demands of working outdoors in all weather conditions for most of the day; exposure to insects chemicals and traffic fumes; danger of working in public right-of-way; and performing demanding physical labor. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be comfortable working on ladders.

If this posting indicates a degree is required the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelors degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a masters degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
