Summary/Objective

The Due Diligence Team is responsible for overseeing the due diligence audit review for the companys correspondent channel and may also perform limited frontline underwriting under our retail and wholesale loan origination channels. The due diligence function serves as an audit review of correspondent submitted 1st and 2nd mortgage loans and investor conditions pre and post close including the subsequent follow up to clear conditions for purchase. The review includes multi-state Conventional and FHA Correspondent loan packages for both purchases and refinance transactions.

• Review credit income assets collateral documentation per investor guidelines and CBCMA overlays for compliance with investor and Agency guidelines and may include review and determination of the validity of third-party audit conditions.
• Duties include:

1. Utilizing internal checklists on Companys proprietary system for the completion of audit reviews based on product type
2. Ability to perform a minimum of 5 audit reviews a day according to Companys defined audit review checklist
3. Respond timely to clients in a clear customer-centric manner
4. Review and respond to documents uploaded to clear conditions
5. Provide responses and support to Purchase Clearing team on validity of underwriting findings (3rd party due diligence and investor findings)
6. Calculate income using traditional and non-traditional documentation to determine DTI ratios and residual income figure when applicable
7. Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners when trying to provide guidance on open conditions
8. Other duties as may be assigned

Work Environment

This position can be remote or CBCMA onsite location. Remote employees are required to be readily

available by telephone and video conference during normal business hours.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with

occasional evenings as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel expected.

Education and Experience

1. High School Degree/GED.
2. Minimum 2-years of position-related experience preferably in mortgage with processing post-close or Jr. underwriting.
3. Must have knowledge of FNMA FHA and VA product guidelines.
