Solicitor Senior Manager
Job Summary
Mars Capital is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior Manager Qualified Solicitor to join its Legal function in Dublin.
This role will support the business across legal regulatory and governance matters with a focus on credit servicing loan portfolio management and financial services regulation.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders managing legal risks and supporting business growth and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice across credit servicing loan portfolios restructuring and enforcement activities
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of agreements including commercial contracts servicing agreements NDAs and third-party contracts
- Support the business in navigating the Irish regulatory framework (e.g. Central Bank of Ireland requirements)
- Advise on consumer protection compliance and conduct risk matters
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Risk Compliance Operations and Asset Management teams
- Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks in line with business objectives
- Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee legal spend
- Contribute to internal governance frameworks policies and procedures
- Support strategic projects including portfolio acquisitions disposals and integrations
- Support business units on product development distribution and operational compliance
Qualifications :
Key Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor in Ireland
- 510 years PQE with strong experience in financial services banking or credit servicing (in-house experience desirable)
- Solid understanding of loan documentation secured lending and enforcement processes
- Experience working within a regulated environment (ideally interacting with the Central Bank of Ireland)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business needs
- Excellent drafting negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable Experience
- In-house experience within a credit servicing firm bank or asset manager
- Exposure to loan portfolio transactions (NPLs / distressed assets)
- Familiarity with Irish consumer protection and mortgage arrears frameworks
- Experience supporting audits or regulatory inspections
