The head office for the DACH and EEC markets covering 13 countries with more than 2700 employees is located in Düsseldorf and is the main workplace for around 500 employees.
As an Energy & Sustainability Specialist you will be responsible for the administration maintenance and sustainability performance of all Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger O&O stores within Hub West (EMEA).
You will manage administrative and commercial processes related to technical maintenance servicing and facility operations. This includes coordinating maintenance activities handling damages and insurance claims and working closely with internal stakeholders landlords and external service providers. A key focus of the role is driving energy efficiency sustainability initiatives and compliance with environmental and technical standards.
A day in the life of an Energy & Sustainability Specialist:
- Collect monitor and analyze energy consumption data across stores and office locations
- Develop and maintain the Energy Management System (EMS) in line with DIN / ISO standards (e.g. ISO 50001)
- Ensure compliance with German and EU energy regulations and support certification processes
- Track and evaluate energy-saving initiatives and sustainability measures
- Drive annual energy optimization and sustainability projects
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional Energy Task Force activities
- Prepare reports KPIs and presentations for General Management
- Support audits related to energy sustainability and utilities
- Implement sustainability and energy efficiency programs across retail and office locations
- Ensure compliance with environmental health & safety and fire protection regulations (e.g. BAFA BGHW TÜV)
- Coordinate maintenance servicing and facility operations across multiple locations
- Manage repair works technical inspections and preventive maintenance
- Monitor technical systems and identify improvement opportunities
What do we need from you You have:
- A degree or vocational training in Facility Management Engineering Sustainability Energy Management or a related field
- 24 years of experience in facility management technical services sustainability or energy management
- Experience in retail real estate or multi-site environments is a plus
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with a structured way of working
- A proactive solution-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with various stakeholders
- Experience with energy management systems and audits
- Knowledge of EU/German energy and environmental regulations (e.g. ISO 50001)
- Familiarity with health & safety standards and compliance requirements
- Business fluent German and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel and a valid driving license
