As a Senior Applied AI Solutions Architect (SA) you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing applied AI solutions that help federal financial regulatory agencies automate workflows accelerate decision-making and drive down costs. You will work closely with other Specialist and Generalist Solutions Architects to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive adoption of AI/ML across the federal financial portfolio. You will interact with customers and SAs in the field providing technical guidance on AI/ML engagements and you will develop white papers reference architectures and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage applied AI on AWS. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population helping them integrate AI solutions into customer architectures.

You must have deep technical experience working with technologies related to artificial intelligence machine learning deep learning or generative AI. A strong background in statistics mathematics computer science or a related technical discipline is preferred in addition to experience helping customers architect enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions. You should be familiar with modern AI patterns and architectures including agentic systems retrieval-augmented generation intelligent document processing conversational AI and classification/anomaly detection as well as the broader ecosystem of AI/ML tooling. You must be comfortable operating in Python data science environments and have the ability to leverage this knowledge to help AWS customers evaluate approaches and build production-ready solutions.

Candidates must have outstanding communication skills and be deeply technical with the ability to engage AWS customers at any level from agency executives to data scientists and developers. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required provided you have experience building large-scale AI/ML solutions. You will get the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at customers partners and AWS service teams influencing roadmaps and driving innovation.

- 8 years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development cloud computing systems engineering infrastructure security networking data & analytics) experience
- 3 years of design implementation or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10 years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Associates degree or above or CASP (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

- 5 years of infrastructure architecture database architecture and networking experience
- Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite S/4HANA SAP Business Warehouse SAP HANA SAP Business Objects etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs
- Experience working with end user or developer communities

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
