We are Plaids Creative teama group of brand designers motion designers video strategists and writers who bring the Plaid brand to life across every channel. We partner closely with Product Design as part of a unified design organization that reports directly to the CEO and collaborate with the broader Marketing team to ensure our brand continues to evolve in alignment with Plaids goals and values. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both concepting and execution across a range of mediumsfrom digital and social to physical experiencesand can translate big ideas into cohesive high-quality work. You bring a strong point of view a high bar for craft and a deep understanding of how to deliver creative that is both consistent and impactful. This role will report to the Head of Creative.

Responsibilities

  • Own the art direction and visual concept of omni-channel campaigns across digital video and social
  • Work closely with copywriters to iterate and bring ideas to life
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on creative strategy timelines and production plans
  • Work closely with motion designers and editors to storyboard and design video content
  • Design a suite of marketing collateral including banner ads social assets print and email
  • Provide creative leadership and feedback across our broader design team ensuring visual consistency and alignment to the overall brand
  • Communicate progress clearly and regularly offering creative rationale with a strong and strategic point of view
  • Mentor other designers on the team

Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in design/art direction with a portfolio that showcases 360 brand campaigns spanning video social and digital (print and OOH a plus)
  • An evolving love for AI tools. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Advanced understanding of photography videography motion animation illustration. On-set experience nice-to-have.
  • Experience working alongside cross-functional teams and an understanding of motion design workflows
  • Comfortable driving projects end-to-end giving and receiving feedback (both internally and with external agencies) and delivering under tight timelines
  • A strong collaborator with impeccable taste strategic thinking strong presentation skills and the ability to work autonomously
$166800 - $250800 a year
The target base salary for this position ranges from $166800/year to $250800/year in Zone 1. The target base salary will vary based on the jobs location.
Our geographic zones are as follows:

Zone 1 - San Francisco / New York City / Seattle
Zone 2 - Los Angeles / Washington DC / Austin / Boston / Sacramento / San Diego
Zone 3 - Atlanta / Portland / Chicago / Philadelphia / Denver / Miami / Dallas / Raleigh
Zone 4 - All other US cities
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission (if applicable) equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors like skills experience and relevant education or training.
