Position Purpose:
Serves as an advisor and liaison to implement strategy and to support operations projects programs and service delivery outcomes. Responsible for the planning implementation coordination and evaluation of programs and strategic initiatives. Works cooperatively with various organizational levels to understand business needs and the interrelationship of issues impacting the implementation and delivery of business operations and services. Provides knowledge and expertise in programs and workstreams.

Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in nursing (RN) infection prevention epidemiology public health or other healthcare related disciplines.
Experience:
Three years relevant to acute care.
Experience in health care delivery with past interaction with medical staff and hospital administration.
Previous education and experience in utilization and quality improvement preferred.
Infection prevention experience preferred.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and required within two years of hire
Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions:
Exposure to conditions which may be considered unpleasant to sight touch sound and / or smell.
Exposure to fumes odors dusts mists and gases biohazards / hazards (mechanical electrical burns chemicals radiation sharp objects etc.).
Exposure to or subject to noise infectious waste diseases & conditions.
Exposure to interruptions shifting priorities and stressful situations.
What you will do:
Provides subject matter expertise to strengthen a culture of safety partnering with clinical and operational leaders to prevent and reduce healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) across all care settings.
Leads and collaborates on infection prevention strategies including surveillance data analysis trend identification and development of evidence-based interventions that align with the Systems patient safety and performance improvement programs.
Plans and supports readiness and response for emerging infectious diseases and infectious disease emergencies including participation in hazard vulnerability analysis and activation of the Healthcare Incident Command System (HICS).
Partners with Environment of Care (EOC) facilities and construction teams to conduct proactive infection control risk assessments (ICRAs) and recommend mitigation measures for renovation new construction and environmental safety concerns.
Supports employee health functions by advising on immunization practices post-exposure management sharps injury prevention strategies and analysis of occupational exposure trends to enhance staff safety.
