- Candidates who have not acquired the entry requirement (2) if found suitable for appointment will receive the Blood-taking Training and ECG Training under Corporate Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant)Training and at least 6-month in-service training. If the appointees cannot complete the Blood-taking Training and ECG Training under Corporate Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant) Training and passed the assessments/tests their employment with the Hospital Authority may be terminated.
- Serving staff who have completed F.3/ S.3 or equivalent and have 2 years care related experience within HA may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.

Key Responsibilities: | ||
1. | Provide quality blood taking service. | |
| 2. | Perform ECG visual acuity test. | |
| 3. | Assist in health assessment to nursing instruction. | |
| 4. | Provide non-blood specimen collection service. | |
| 5. | Perform basic vital sign measurement and data input. | |
| 6. | Perform basic patient care in out-patient setting. | |
| 7. | Handle general enquiries; assist in coordinating patient flow and queue control. | |
| 8. | Instruct patient for investigation and referral service. | |
| 9. | Perform preparation cleaning and disinfection of medical equipment and consultation room facilities. | |
| 10. | Perform chaperon for examination and tasks assigned by clinic in-charge. | |
| Entry Requirements: | ||
| 1. | Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks); AND | |
| 2. | Possess the following certificates that issued by Hospital Authority (see Remarks) | |
| (a) | Module (A): Blood-taking Training under Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant) Training; Or Module (A): Blood-taking Training under TSA(CA) Training or equivalent. | |
| (b) | Module (B) : ECG Training under Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant) Training; Or Module (B) : ECG Training under TSA(CA) Training or equivalent. | |
| 3. | Good command of English and Chinese written and spoken. | |
Preferable Attributes/Exposure: | ||
1. | Knowledge of PC applications. | |
2. | Mature presentable and with good communication skill. | |
3. | Experience in blood taking patient care experience in Family Medicine Clinics (FMC) general care and special program is preferred. |
