General Superintendent Mega Projects

AECOM Hunt is looking to hire a field-proven General Superintendent to lead construction delivery for complex billiondollar programs (airports sports/entertainment venues education facilities and large multi-storied civic infrastructure).

Job Duties:

• Field operations: Direct daily work across scope of the job coordinating temporary works access laydown traffic control and public interface on constrained urban sites.
• Scheduling: Build and maintain shortinterval and lookahead plans aligned to the master schedule; drive constraint removal productivity recovery and phase turnover readiness.
• Logistics mastery: Optimize deliveries hoisting staging and justintime material flow; manage crane strategy road closures and event/operations interfaces.
• Quality & commissioning: Enforce QA/QC ITPs and mockups; lead punch list and deficiency closure; coordinate startup commissioning and system turnovers.
• Design/constructability: Lead constructability reviews; resolve field clashes and tolerances with structures/MEP/architectural finishes; support BIMenabled coordination.
• Commercial acumen: Validate quantities measure workinplace support change management and verify progress for pay applications; monitor production rates and earned value.
• Stakeholder management: Coordinate with owner reps authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) utilities concessions/tenants and operations teams to protect public safety and minimize disruption.
• People leadership: Mentor superintendents and field engineers; set clear expectations with trade partners; run daily huddles weekly coordination and visual management routines.
• Compliance & permits: Ensure adherence to codes permits and environmental requirements; maintain documentation and asbuilts for closeout.
• Risk & readiness: Anticipate weather/seasonal impacts longlead items and supply chain risks; implement mitigations and contingency plans.
• Champion zeroincident culture.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• BS Engineering/Construction Management or similar curriculum and 12 years of construction Superintendent experience or AS and 14 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 16 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid US Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong and progressive field leadership experience with 12 years of experience as Superintendent/General Superintendent on large complex programs; experience on mega projects (>$500M) strongly preferred.
• Proven delivery across multiple work packages and concurrent zones on scheduledriven occupied or operational sites.
• Expertise in heavy coordination: structures MEP systems vertical transportation envelope civil/utility interfaces and complex phasing/turnovers.
• Mastery of shortinterval planning production tracking critical path recovery and highrisk work planning (cranes/hoisting energized systems confined space).
• Demonstrated leadership with diverse trade partners in union and environments.
• Strong communication negotiation and issueresolution skills in a multistakeholder setting.
• OSHA 30; additional highrisk certifications as applicable.
• Mega program experience in one or more sectors: aviation stadiums/arenas healthcare education data centers high rise complex facilities.
• Proficiency with Procore (or similar) Primavera P6/MS Project BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud Navisworks Bluebeam and Power BI dashboards.
• Experience delivering CMAR and progressive delivery models.
• Proven success leading commissioning and turnover on phased operational campuses.

Physical Demands:

• The following physical demands represent those typically required of individuals working in construction field roles with or without accommodation.  Construction field positions require physical stamina and mobility including the ability to climb ladders and stairs use personnel hoists and move through various terrain and active construction zones. Vision requirements include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Team members must be capable of using their hands to handle tools and materials and perform activities such as sitting standing walking speaking hearing climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching and crawling. Lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted may be necessary on an occasional basis.

Work Environment:

• Individuals in construction field roles work primarily on active job sites where exposure to environmental and job-related hazards is common with or without accommodation. These environments may include proximity to heavy machinery elevated work areas airborne particles varying weather conditions and potential electrical risks. Noise levels may vary from moderate to high depending on the phase of construction. Employees may be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and must remain alert to ensure safety. Additional duties may be assigned as needed based on the scope and progress of the project.

• This position does not offer relocation assistance.  Travel assignments will come with a Temporary Living Allowance determined by location.
