Health and Social Care Assessor

This is a Fixed Term Post until September 2026

20 hours per week based at Doncaster

Salary pro rata is 14721 - 15456

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Health and Social Care Assessor to join our Adult Skills this role you will support adult learners studying Health and Social Care and related qualifications guiding them through to successful completion and progression.

You will assess learner work track progress deliver engaging tutorials and ensure high standards of quality and compliance are met. This is an excellent opportunity for an assessor who is committed to inclusive education and making a positive difference in the local community.

Essential Criteria

• A relevant Health and Social Care qualification (degree level or equivalent)
• A recognised teaching or assessing qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Minimum Level 2 Maths and English
• Strong knowledge of Health and Social Care qualifications and quality frameworks
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to support diverse learners

  Key Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners on Health and Social Care and related programmes primarily delivered online
• Track learner progress attendance and achievement maintaining accurate and timely records
• Provide constructive feedback guidance and personalised support to help learners succeed
• Contribute to curriculum development quality assurance and internal verification processes
• Deliver high-quality tutorials using a range of digital tools and inclusive teaching approaches
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and external stakeholders to support learner outcomes
• Promote safeguarding equality and diversity across all aspects of the role
• Support learner recruitment enrolment and promotional activities where required
