Design Engineer (Bumper)

• Design and develop front and rear bumper systems (fascia brackets reinforcements absorbers)
• Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools (mainly CATIA V5/V6)
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards guidelines and development processes
• Manage part integration and packaging with:
  • ADAS sensors (radar cameras)
  • Lighting systems
  • Cooling modules and grille components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
  • Styling / Class-A surfaces
  • Simulation (crash durability)
  • Manufacturing and tooling
• Support design validation and release process (DFMEA tolerance stack-up design reviews)
• Interface with suppliers for:
  • Technical follow-up
  • Design feasibility
  • Industrialization constraints

Manage engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and ensure documentation consistency

Qualifications :

• An experienced Automotive Design Engineer specializing in front and rear bumper systems .
• The candidate is capable of working in a fast-paced OEM environment delivering robust manufacturable designs aligned with strict automotive standards and project milestones.

Hard Skills

• Strong experience in automotive plastic part design (injection molding)
• Expertise in bumper system design (front & rear)
• Advanced proficiency in:
  • CATIA V5 / V6 (Part Design Assembly Generative Shape Design)
• Knowledge of:
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Design for Assembly (DFA)
  • Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Understanding of:
  • Crash and pedestrian protection constraints
  • Automotive development cycles (V-cycle milestones)
• Familiarity with:
  • PLM systems (ENOVIA Teamcenter)
  • Automotive engineering standards and workflows
