Buyer

• Create issue and maintain purchase orders for materials and services based on MRP demand
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgments delivery dates and shipment status
• Expedite orders as needed to support production schedules and minimize shortages
• Collaborate with Planning Logistics Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to ensure material availability and resolve supply issues
• Monitor open purchase orders and update delivery dates in ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP)
• Resolve delivery quality and invoice discrepancies with suppliers
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation within company systems
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance related to delivery and responsiveness
• Support inventory objectives by helping manage lead times and order quantities
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to team goals for On-Time Delivery Quality and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management Business Logistics or related field
• 25 years of experience in a Buyer Purchasing or Supply Chain role (Aerospace or manufacturing preferred)
• Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain concepts
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and follow-up skills with internal teams and suppliers
• Ability to solve problems and escalate complex issues when needed
• APICS certification or coursework is a plus but not required
