Lab Tech Optical Manufacturing

Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties depending on their assigned department and lab needs.  Production techs help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner in order to serve our customers.

Associates observe data on job orders sort and organize jobs utilize RF scanning and perform other department specific tasks.

We have production positions available in our Surface and Inventory Departments.

Surface duties include:

• Backside coating - making sure lens is clean spraying wiping lens and loading in machine
• Blocking and Deblocking block prep
• Machine operation taping generating polishing
• Lens washing - removing lens from block rinsing washing and drying lens to remove debris

Inventory duties include:

• Printing orders and prepping job trays
• Picking frames and lenses by locating the bin number on the Rx scanning the barcode and tray and frame
• Removing lenses from manufacturers box placing on the correct side of the tray for processing
• Pre-inspecting lenses for visual imperfections
• Ensuring orders are sent to the correct departments within the lab
• Assisting with restocking inventory counts 

Qualifications :

• No specific education required
• No specific experience required for entry level but prior mass production machine operation picking orders inventory or warehouse experience is preferred
• Prior related or optical experience desirable
• Must be able to read and write English
