The Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation is seeking a dynamic relationship-driven leader to serve as its next Executive Director. This role offers the opportunity to support students educators and the broader community by leading fundraising efforts that directly impact educational excellence.
Established in 1986 the Foundation partners with the community to raise funds and awareness that support all learners and educators within the Forest Hills Public Schools District.
The Opportunity
This is a highly visible community-facing role that blends strategy with execution. You will lead the Foundations fundraising efforts while also being actively involved in day-to-day workfrom building donor relationships to supporting events and working closely with board members and community partners.
The ideal candidate brings a strong donor-first mindset enjoys building meaningful relationships and is equally comfortable thinking big-picture and rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute a comprehensive donor-focused fundraising strategy including major gifts annual giving grants sponsorships and planned giving
- Build cultivate and steward relationships with donors corporate partners and community stakeholders
- Maintain an active portfolio of donors and participate directly in outreach and solicitation efforts
- Serve as a visible representative of the Foundation within the community
- Plan and support fundraising events taking an active hands-on role in execution logistics and follow-up
- Oversee communications campaigns and messaging to drive engagement and awareness
- Partner with the Board of Trustees and committees to set direction and achieve goals
- Oversee day-to-day operations including budgeting reporting and donor database management
- Use data and insights to inform strategy and measure fundraising effectiveness
- Provide leadership and structure for volunteers and any supporting staff
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising donor relations nonprofit development or a related field
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and engage a variety of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively share a mission and inspire support
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a hands-on collaborative environment
Compensation & Details
- Salary range: $75000 $85000 commensurate with experience
- Full-time position MondayFriday with local travel required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed for event setup and execution
- Reports to the Forest Hills Public Schools Foundation Board of Trustees
