Shift Manager Electrical

Location: Hibbing MN

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance at Hibbing Taconite in Hibbing MN. As a Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance you will direct and coordinate the electrical/instrumentation maintenance programs associated with the plant equipment facilities and power distribution systems. This will include direct supervision and leadership of the E&I maintenance work force toward the implementation and compliance to preventative planned and/or break in work schedules. They will ensure the reliability of the electrical equipment through preventative maintenance and directing maintenance personnel as needed in response to breakdowns.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Schedules routine activities. Supervises completion of work assignments and follows established department plans
• Maintains general discipline of the crew in meeting the daily production safety and quality objectives. Instructs personnel in job requirements company rules and practices
• Coordinates electrical maintenance activities with different departments assists in developing continuous improvement plans
• Leads employees training and performance review programs. Improves overall production processes and services efficiency
• Verify parts tools and equipment availability to ensure efficient work execution
• Ensure work order discipline is adhered to and work completion documentation is kept
• Continuously improve E&I department by identifying deficiencies and taking appropriate actions to rectify
• Communicate job assignments timing expectations and associated tasks to all crew members
• Oversee E&I contractors involved in maintenance activities and projects
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of recent experience at a mining/mineral processing facility or heavy industry preferably in a unionized environment.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills such as team building and conflict resolution are required. Willingness to promote team concepts and company policies. Ability to motivate delegate establish and work in a collaborative environment.

• Bachelors Degree

The salary range for this role is $80000 to $105000. An employees pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications experience skills geographic location and business or organizational needs.
