Job Summary
Job Title: Director of Patient Safety
Location: Asheville NC
Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift MondayFriday (Administrative Hours)
Schedule: No Weekends
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Director of Patient Safety for an exciting Travel or Local job in Asheville NC.
Responsibilities:
- Lead hospital-wide patient safety strategies and initiatives
- Develop and implement systems to reduce preventable patient harm
- Promote high-reliability practices and a strong safety culture
- Identify analyze and mitigate patient safety risks
- Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership on safety priorities
- Develop and deliver patient safety education programs
- Monitor and report safety performance and outcomes
- Support risk management and compliance activities
- Promote patient and family engagement in safety efforts
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary safety team
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field
- Experience in patient safety (not only quality)
- CPPS certification (or obtain within 1 year)
- Strong leadership and healthcare systems experience
Preferred:
- Masters degree in related field
- 35 years healthcare experience in patient safety risk management or quality
- Clinical background preferred
