Te kōwhiringa The Opportunity
Were looking for an experienced Registered Drainlayer to join our Gisborne team delivering critical water infrastructure projects throughout the region.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being out on site solving problems and taking pride in delivering high-quality work. Youll play a key role in constructing and upgrading wastewater stormwater and drainage networks that support local communities.
In this role youll be involved in:
- Installing wastewater stormwater and drainage infrastructure
- Laying PVC PE and concrete pipelines
- Constructing manholes catchpits and chambers
- Working on water reticulation upgrades and network improvements
- Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
- Undertaking confined space work and live network tie-ins
- Working safely and collaboratively within a high-performing crew

Were looking for someone who takes pride in delivering quality work and enjoys being part of a team that gets the job done right.
Youll ideally have:
- A Level 3 Drainlaying qualification (minimum)
- Current registration with the Plumbers Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB)
- Proven experience in drainage and reticulation construction
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead by example
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to health safety and quality
- Full Class 1 licence (Class 2 advantageous)
- The ability to think ahead solve problems and adapt to changing site conditions
