Job Description:

Job Summary**

Hitachi Rail STS is seeking a Senior Project Planner to lead and optimize complex project schedules for large-scale technology and infrastructure initiatives ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop maintain and monitor comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard planning software (e.g. Primavera P6 MS Project).
* Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to define project scope deliverables and resource requirements.
* Conduct critical path analysis identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project adherence to timelines.
* Prepare and present detailed progress reports forecasts and variance analyses to project teams and senior management.
* Implement and continuously improve planning processes and methodologies to enhance project efficiency and predictability.
* Mentor and guide junior planners fostering a culture of excellence in project planning and control.
* Ensure compliance with company standards project management best practices and relevant industry regulations.
* Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather planning input and gain consensus on project timelines and milestones.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelors degree in Engineering Construction Management Project Management or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project planning and scheduling preferably within large-scale technology manufacturing or infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project at an advanced level.
* Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK AACEI Agile) and scheduling principles.
* Excellent analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
* Demonstrated experience in leading planning efforts for multi-disciplinary projects.
* PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Excel Power BI).
