Position Description Summary

This is a regional role to drive end-to-end product costing pricing strategy and margin management across APAC. It plays a pivotal part in shaping the regional product portfolio and contributing to the development and execution of the regional product strategy.

Major tasks and responsibilities:

1. Product Cost Management

Lead product cost calculation analysis and forecasting for APAC product lines

Monitor and evaluate actual product costs against targets investigating and resolving material deviations in a timely manner

2. Pricing Strategy & Management

Develop and implement target pricing frameworks across APAC ensuring alignment with business objectives

Per as gatekeeper to derive and execute pricing discipline and guidance with regional & global Product Line leadership

3. Portfolio Development & Optimization

Assess and optimize the existing APAC product portfolio on a regular basis to maximize business value

Analyze financial returns of new portfolio initiatives and monitor commercialization progress

Manage and execute product phase-out processes in a structured and timely manner

4. Strategy Development & Execution

Support the development of regional product strategies and drive the implementation of strategic initiatives as project lead or core project member for example IBP DICE ACT

Lead compact-scale projects independently ensuring delivery within scope timeline and objectives

Conduct business development analysis and support regional segment reviews tracking the progress of strategic initiatives especially those under Evolve

5. Operational Excellence

Oversee operational routines including demand forecast accuracy and master data configuration to ensure supply continuity and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline; a Masters degree in Business Administration Engineering or Materials Science is strongly preferred

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of proven commercial experience preferably within chemical industry

Prior exposure to regional APAC markets is highly advantageous

Strong commercial background with a track record of strategic thinking data-driven decision-making and customer-facing experience

Proven ability to manage complex business processes and cross-functional operations including leading virtual teams across diverse cultural and geographical boundaries

Skills & competencies:

Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies

Highly analytical and numerate with a logical and structured approach to problem-solving

Strategic planning and project management capabilities with a strong sense of accountability

Effective communicator and influencer across all organizational levels and functions

Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering value to internal and external stakeholders

High cultural sensitivity with the ability to work effectively in a diverse multicultural environment

Courageous in making tough commercial decisions and taking ownership of outcomes
