Role Description

The SeniorManager Social will play a pivotal role in shaping how Simple Mills shows up in culture leading the day-to-day strategy and execution of our organic social presence across platforms.

This individual will translate brand and business priorities into a clear differentiated social approach guiding content direction and partnering closely with agency teams to deliver consistent high-quality a key member of the Integrated Marketing team this roleoperatesas a thought partner to leadership contributing to direction while owning execution performance and continuous optimization.

The ideal candidate is both creatively instinctive and analytically grounded with a strong point of view on content platforms and what drives engagement. They are deeply attuned to cultural and consumer conversations and able to translate trends in health wellness and sustainability into relevant social-native role reports to the Senior Director Integrated Marketing andresponsibilities will include:

Social Strategy & Channel Leadership

  • Shape and refine Simple Mills organic social strategy across Instagram TikTok Facebook and LinkedIn (with Pinterest YouTube X and Threads as secondary platforms).
  • Translate integrated marketing plans into platform-specific strategies content plans and success measures ensuring clarity in what each channel is driving.
  • Develop TikTok Shop strategy and execution in partnership with external partners ensuring alignment to broader social and business goals.
  • Identifyand test opportunities to evolve channelapproach including new formats tools and platform capabilities bringing forward data-informed recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Brand and Integrated Marketing teams to support launches retail momentsinfluencersand key initiatives.

Content & Creative Direction

  • Lead content development in partnership with agency ensuring output is strategic insight-driven and aligned to platform best practices with a balance of hands-on input and directional leadership.
  • Guidedevelopment of monthly content calendars and production workflows ensuring clarity in priorities timelines and deliverables (4050 assets/month).
  • Contribute to creative direction developing repeatable formats series and storytelling approaches that build engagement over time.
  • Develop social-native creative ideas and content seriesin partnership with agency and influencers/creatorsthat bring the Simple Mills brand and mission to life translating complex topics (health wellness sustainability) into clear engaging storytelling across formats.
  • Ensure a consistent authentic brand voice whileidentifyingand activating relevant cultural moments contributing to content that resonates and drives engagement.

Performance & Optimization

  • Define and track KPIs across platforms (e.g. engagement rate reach follower growth video views saves/shares) and own overall channel performance with a clear understanding of what is working and where to adjust.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance readouts synthesizing key insights and translating them into actionable recommendations to continuouslyoptimizecontent cadence and channel strategy.
  • Partner with paid media and influencer teams to amplify high-performing content and inform boosting strategy.

Community & Agency Leadership

  • Oversee community engagement in partnership withour socialagency ensuringtimely on-brand interactionswith the Simple Mills community (iesurprise & delights).
  • Leveragesocial listening and monitoring to track brand sentiment andidentifyemergingconversations informing content and engagement opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day agencypartnership providing clear direction feedback and prioritization.
  • Monitoragency performance against defined scope and KPIsidentifyingopportunities to improve effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or related fieldrequired.
  • 69 yearsof experience in social media strategy and execution (agency or in-house; CPG strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute social strategies across major platforms (Instagram TikTok etc.) driving both engagement and measurable performance.
  • Strong fluency in social KPIs and performance analysis with the ability to translate data into clear actions that improve content and channel effectiveness.
  • Experience leading agency and external partner relationships including setting direction providing feedback and ensuring work delivers against expectations.
  • Ability to translate complex topics (e.g. health wellness sustainability) into clear compelling social content with strong creative instincts and storytelling ability.
  • Experience workingwith wellness and / or functional health fields and can successfully navigate brand voice science and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally (e.g. Brand PR Influencer Partnerships) to bring integrated campaigns to life.
  • Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong judgment and the ability to move work forward within scope.
  • Working knowledge of paid social and how organic content connects to broader media and influencer efforts.

Work Model at Simple Mills

Our work model is role-dependent and team focused. With remote hybrid or in-office positions each role is classified by what best supports the needs of the team.

  • Remote working may be considered for qualified candidates from a designated locationin the United States(the new hires permanent residence as documented in our HR System Rippling) if willing and able to travel regularly to the Chicago office.
