Senior Underwriter Accident & Health (Sweden)

Are you a senior insurance professional with a strong network in the Swedish Accident & Health market AIG is looking for an experienced Underwriter or Key Account Manager to take a leading strategic role within our Nordic Accident & Health team.

This is a key position based in our central Stockholm office with a primary focus on driving our A&H portfolio in Sweden. We are looking for a self-driven specialist who is ready to take ownership of the Swedish market while operating as a key member of our fully integrated Nordic unit.

Your impact and responsibilities

As a senior member of the Nordic A&H team you will be the driving force for our Swedish market focus. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of your accounts from strategic broker engagement to complex underwriting and portfolio analysis all within our unified Nordic structure.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Driving profitable growth by developing and executing business strategies for the Swedish market in alignment with our overall Nordic goals.

• Developing and maintaining deep strategic relationships with key brokers and clients primarily in Sweden.

• Underwriting and managing a complex portfolio of A&H clients including large multinational accounts and SME facilities (e.g. Business Travel Group Personal Accident Expat insurance).

• Leading the underwriting and service for several key multinational clients in close collaboration with our global network.

• Collaborating with the Nordic distribution team to identify and drive new sales initiatives across the region.

• Analysing portfolio performance and market trends to identify new product opportunities and ensure long-term profitability.

What youll need to succeed

This role is for an established professional who is known in the Swedish market. We are looking for a proactive client-focused and self-driven individual who thrives on building relationships and owning their results.

We believe you are a match if you have:

• Several years of proven experience from a similar senior role either as an Underwriter Key Account Manager or Portfolio Manager within Accident & Health.

• A strong established network among key brokers in the Swedish A&H market.

• Deep technical knowledge of A&H products (Business Travel Group Personal Accident Expatriate etc.).

• Strong analytical negotiation and communication skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

• The ability to work independently manage your local portfolio and thrive in a collaborative Nordic team environment.

• Fluency in a Nordic language (preferably Swedish) and English.

Meet the Team

You will be a key member of the Nordic Accident & Health team a dynamic and highly collaborative group of 30 professionals across the Nordics.

Your day-to-day base will be our centrally located Stockholm office joining a large and social local team of AIG colleagues. Our A&H team operates as one integrated Nordic unit with both junior and senior team members across our four Nordic Countries (Denmark Finland Norway Sweden). This structure gives you the best of both worlds: strong local presence and autonomy in Sweden combined with a deep strategic connection to the entire Nordic team.
