Your Role
The incumbents primary responsibility will be to provide administrative and underwriting support to the Financial Lines and Casualty Underwriters to ensure the provision of timely and professional service to our producers. This position is central to building and maintaining a communication and processing bridge between New Zealand and the CBS Operation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist Underwriters with the preparation of new policies renewals endorsements renewal notices and certificates.
  • Assist with underwriting administration tasks.
  • Input data information into spreadsheets required for a variety of tasks.
  • Answer general enquiries and correspondence from producers including issuing of Certificate of Insurance refer more complex enquiries as appropriate.
  • Input of risk/capacity and premium tracking information into Underwriting monitoring systems.
  • Credit Control: Manage all aspects of and be responsible for ensuring that policy registration unprocessed premium unpaid premium and booking differences are reconciled and processed regularly for Financial Lines & Casualty:
  • Ensure system is updated regularly and all logged items are attended to within 30 days from the time they are logged. Ensuring there is no unnecessary back-log.
  • Ensure that processing and reconciliation matters are resolved promptly or escalated to relevant Underwriter where necessary. No item should remain on the system beyond 60 days from the time they are logged.


Qualifications

What youll bring to the role

  • Minimum 2 years previous office experience preferably in the insurance services industry or graduate
  • Experience in administration which involves talking to clients intermediaries or other third parties.
  • Strong communication skills interpersonal telephone and written
  • Excellent command of English including spelling and grammar
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office software and in particular Word Excel PowerPointAbility to relate effectively to people of all levels
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships by being responsive promoting team work and uses a professional mature approach.
