About the Role
The client is seeking a Physician Liaison to serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare providers and practices helping drive behavior change and adoption of value-based care (VBC) initiatives. This is a relationship-driven provider-facing role that blends consultative engagement data storytelling and change management.
In this role you will partner directly with physicians practice administrators and clinical staff to optimize referral patterns improve utilization and support high-quality cost-effective care delivery. You will leverage analytics and structured engagement strategies to influence decision-making and drive measurable outcomes across your assigned territory.
This is not a traditional sales roleinstead it is focused on building trust influencing behavior and guiding providers through performance improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with physicians and practice teams
Conducting regular virtual and in-person meetings to review performance and develop improvement plans
Translating complex healthcare data into clear actionable insights for providers
Supporting adoption of value-based care programs quality measures and performance incentives
Identifying and addressing barriers to change through cross-functional collaboration
Tracking engagement performance metrics and behavior-change progress in CRM systems (Salesforce)
Managing a defined territory and driving measurable improvements in provider performance
This role is remote with a strong preference for candidates located in the Houston TX area to support in-person engagement and travel.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration Nursing Public Health Business or related field
Value-based care programs or practice transformation
Healthcare consulting or provider-focused roles
Pharma or medical device sales (with strong provider engagement experience)
Core Competencies
Proven ability to build trust and influence physicians and clinical stakeholders
Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
Experience interpreting and presenting healthcare data including:
Utilization trends
Referral patterns
Cost and quality metrics
Ability to translate data into compelling actionable narratives
Experience managing a territory and prioritizing activities independently
Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce) and analytics platforms
Comfort using AI-powered tools to support analysis and strategy
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree (MHA MBA MPH MSN)
Experience with ACO MSSP or value-based care contracts
Exposure to change management methodologies or behavioral science
Practice operations experience
