Job Overview:
A high-volume Level III trauma hospital is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join its imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety accuracy and adherence to departmental protocols. The ideal candidate is skilled in working across inpatient outpatient and emergency settings and is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MRI procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
Review and verify physician orders ensuring accuracy prior to imaging
Prepare and position patients explain procedures and obtain complete medical histories
Administer IV contrast as needed and document appropriately
Evaluate image quality and collaborate with radiologists when necessary
Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies including assisting in code situations
Maintain strict adherence to MRI safety standards and infection control policies
Operate and maintain MRI equipment including Siemens 3T and GE 1.5T systems
Accurately document procedures charges and patient information in the EMR system
Maintain a clean organized and fully stocked work environment
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program
ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
Minimum 2 years of hands-on MRI experience preferred
Experience in a high-volume hospital setting strongly preferred
Familiarity with EPIC EMR and advanced MRI equipment preferred
Compensation
Hourly Pay: $34.90 $43.63/hour
Weekend Differential: $8.00/hour (Friday 7 AM Monday 7:30 AM)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15000
Relocation Bonus: Up to $5000
