Job Description: An established engineering services organization supporting federal and defense initiatives is seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to contribute to advanced modeling analytics and simulation efforts. This role involves working on mission-critical programs that support national defense initiatives collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and software development teams. The position is fully onsite in Dayton OH and focuses on developing maintaining and enhancing system models and engineering artifacts for complex systems and systems-of-systems environments. You will play a key role in building structured models that support analysis design and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies
Create architecture models and represent system behavior using SysML
Collaborate with engineers developers and stakeholders to integrate modeling efforts
Produce and present technical documentation and engineering artifacts
Analyze system data to support design decisions and improve system performance
Contribute to modeling and simulation initiatives within defense-focused programs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or MBSE
Strong proficiency in SysML and MBSE tools such as Cameo MagicDraw Rhapsody or Enterprise Architect
Experience developing models and supporting artifacts for complex systems
Active TS/SCI security clearance
Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in an engineering discipline
Industry certifications such as OCSMP INCOSE CSEP or PMP
Familiarity with SysML 2.0
Programming experience in Java C or Python
Experience with DoDAF UAF or other architecture frameworks
Background in aerospace or defense systems
Experience with modeling and simulation tools and methodologies
