Position Title - Fabricator

Job Description

Plastic products fabricators finishers and inspectors assemble finish and inspect plastic parts and finished products.

Job Specific Accountabilities

• Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut shape splice and fit plastic materials to form parts and assemblies.
• Assemble composite materials on patterns to form parts and assemblies using bonding agents.
• Operate finishing equipment to trim grind or buff plastic products into final form.
• Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards visually or using instruments.
• Job duties as assigned.

Recommended Education & Experience

• High School diploma preferred
• Secondary school education is an asset
• Experience as a laborer
• Experience with carpentry an asset
• On-the-job training is provided

Job Hazards: Katch Kan supplies and enforces the usage of all necessary PPE and safety training required for the role.

• Daily commuting to and from work.
• Regular lifting twisting bending.
• Ergonomics related to working at a station.
• Live warehouse environment with racking and equipment that requires regular inspection.
• Exposure to hazards associated with operating and maintaining machinery and equipment such as moving parts pinch points and electrical hazards.
• Exposure to high noise levels and vibrations generated by machinery and equipment.
• Potential exposure to chemicals and materials used in the manufacturing process which may pose risks such as chemical burns respiratory issues or fire hazards.
